ServiceMaster Restoration of First Coast distributed boxes again this season for Toys 4 Tots. We have participated in this collection process for over 10 years. The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to the less fortunate children in the community.

This year we distributed over 30 boxes. Each year we collect over 1,000 toys for less fortunate youth of our community.

Rebuilding the Bahamas Servicemaster.

On September 1, category 5 Hurricane Dorian made landfall on the Bahamas devastating the Bahamian people leaving many without a home to live in. Owner, Kevin Riviere, an avid outdoorsman who frequents the Bahamas each year, felt called to help. He started a Go Fund Me page letting all know that the goal was to travel to Grand Cay to help rebuild. Just 15 short days later after raising $10,000, pallets of roofing supplies were ready to ship out. Knowing that without a roof many of these homes would also suffer from water damage….but the roofs have to be replaced first before the focus could redirect to the interior.

On September 26, our crew loaded the boat with supplies and met the barge carrying the roofing materials in Grand Cay to begin the rebuild process. They spent 3 days framing walls and repairing roofs.

We would like to thank everyone who donated money and supplies for this mission to help. We would like to thank Ocean Waves Sunglasses for also donating sunglasses for not only our crew but for the Bahamian people we encountered during our trip.
This is not the end of this journey as we will return over and over until we have helped rebuild the place we love so much.
